"Fourward"

The young jazz quartet from Braga, Fourward, will release their debut album "Freedom" in mid-2025, a project supported by gnration.

With this work, they explore the concept of freedom without aesthetic constraints, diving into a jazz landscape that is still searching for its path in the Minho region. In times when freedom is urgent and threatened by screens that isolate us and transmit unregulated and unreliable information, the quartet takes refuge in simplicity with well-defined forms, seeking this condition in both nature and concept. Embracing absence as a virtue and minimalism as an approach, the presence of this work in the public sphere poses the following challenge to others: liberation.
